H-S Precision Stands By Their Mother-Killer As you already know, H-S Precision publicized an endorsement from notoriously despised and incompetent FBI sniper Lon Horiuchi. Or, if you didn't know, go click the link and read it now. It isn't very often that a once-respected firearms company decides to crawl into bed with a scumbag, who by his own admission repeatedly fired on targets, missed, and thereby killed an unarmed woman holding her baby in her arms. Said scumbag avoided prison at the least by getting the government to give him "sovereign immunity" for his crimes. But Internet-rumor has it that the the owner of H-SP is a friend of Horiuchi. Little else could explain the way H-SP has now compounded its error. From H-SP's website:
Now, I know what I wrote to these... people. There is no legitimate way H-SP could possibly interpret the complaints they've received as being objections to including any product endorsements. This is merely H-SP's arrogant way of pretending there is no problem with a gun company using an inept, firearms-safety-rules-illiterate "sniper" for bragging rights. These people are stupid, or they think we are. Fortunately, some outfits like Remington get it: From Tommy Millner at Remington:
I've already sent Mr. Millner my thanks. That's a good start. But H-SP probably thinks that they can afford to piss on, and piss off, the commercial market because they can survive on government contracts. I think we should prove them wrong. It's time to contact your legislators at the federal, state, and local levels and make sure they know that you object to giving any business with a company that supports a disgusting mother-killer. Granted, particularly in the House and Senate, it's an up-hill battle. But for our own consciences and pride, we have to try. Maybe H-SP owner Tom Houghton is happy being friendly with, and supporting, a murder who can't shoot straight (or who lied about his target, take your pick), but I'm not. A long time ago I considered a particular person a friend; when I discovered that he attempted to molest a couple of girls, I understood that he was truly no friend of mine. I'm picky about my friends. Mr. Houghton should think about that.
