I've written a fair number of essays -- largely political and social commentary -- over the years. They've appeared in quite a few places: The Libertarian Enterprise, The Price of Liberty, Doing Freedom!, and North American Samizdat spring immediately to mind. But for various reasons, I've done little writing lately. Recently though, I decided to republish a few articles. Most of what I wrote was firmly tied to then-current events and isn't worth inflicting on you again. But a few are still timely, or still amusing. Or infuriating. I've picked out a few of my more popular or (in my mind) important pieces to share with you here. Eventually, I might start writing again. Or at least dig more essays out of the archives, so check back here every now and then. For now...
2008 2008 1997 Close encounters of the wierd kind with Saint Louis, Missouri's Finest(??) and the FBI. 1999 Satire regarding a PETA operation valuing lobster above children. 10/21/2002 Remember the DC Snipers? 1/13/2003 The Precautionary Principle versus Critical Thinking 1/27/2003 Animal rights? Sure; and don't forget animal responsibilities. 2/10/2003 I'm not a NASA fan. This is just another reason why. |
